1950's Camp Memories from the Mennonite Photograph Collection

Volunteers from the Mennonite Central Committee came to Paivika as counselors in the 1950s, and many of
them took pictures that have now been shared with us. The photos on this page were obtained through
the assistance of the Mennonite Church USA Archives, Goshen, Indiana. Many of the pictures were
taken by Ina Ruth Krabill, a volunteer counselor at Camp Paivika in 1954. The Mennonite Central
Committee is a service agency, and we know that MCC volunteers came to Paivika from around the
country. So far, we don't know much about the volunteers and how they came to play such a
prominent role at Paivika in the 1950s. Anyone with information is urged to
contact us.
